Professor Daniel C. Uguru-Okorie was educated at Enuda College, Abiriba, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, both in Nigeria, where he received honours as the best student in the West African School Certificate (1963) and B.Sc Degree (Psychology, 1974) study programmes. He got his Ph.D Degree in Physiological Psychology from the University of Edinburg, Scotland (1975-76). After his Ph.D work work at Edinburg in 1976, lectured at the University of Ibadan from 1979 and rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 1986. He joined the Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) in 1989 and became a professor in 1992.
